About Peak Detailing
Most detail shops run volume. Four cars in the bay, a rotating crew, and whoever's free that afternoon works on your vehicle. That model is why so many people have paid for a "detail" and driven away with swirl marks, wet carpet, and dressing slung across the door jambs.
Peak Detailing runs the opposite way. Jordan owns the shop and does the work. We take one vehicle per day, which means the paint gets the hours it actually needs, the interior dries properly before you collect it, and the person who quoted your car is the person standing beside it at handover.
We've been doing this in Kelowna since 2017, and everything about the process is shaped by the Okanagan specifically — the sun load, the ash, the sap, the hard water, and the brine on Highway 97 every winter. A detailing process designed for coastal Vancouver or the Prairies doesn't account for any of that.

A properly prepped ceramic coating is the single highest-value thing you can do for a vehicle in this valley. It puts a hard, hydrophobic, UV-stable layer between your clearcoat and everything the Okanagan throws at it.
Why the Okanagan Is Hard on Vehicles
Detailing in the Okanagan isn't the same job as detailing on the coast. These six conditions drive nearly every paint and interior problem we see, and our process is built to address each one directly.
Highway 97 and the Coquihalla are treated with salt brine and calcium chloride from November through March. That solution wicks into seams, wheel wells, and frame rails and keeps working long after the road dries. It is the single biggest driver of undercarriage corrosion on Okanagan vehicles.
Okanagan wildfire season leaves a fine alkaline ash on every horizontal surface. Left on the paint through a heat cycle it etches clearcoat, and it pulls into cabin air intakes and upholstery where the smoke smell sets in. It needs chemical decontamination, not a rinse.
Kelowna averages over 2,000 hours of sunshine a year — among the highest in Canada. That UV load oxidises single-stage and older clearcoats, fades dashboards and door cards, and dries out leather and vinyl faster than almost anywhere else in the country.
Orchard and vineyard irrigation overspray, plus hard tap water, leaves mineral deposits that bond to glass and paint. Once those spots bake in the sun they etch below the surface and no longer wash off — they have to be polished out.
Ponderosa pine sap and spring pollen are relentless across the valley. Sap is acidic and cures hard onto clearcoat within days in summer heat. The longer it sits, the more likely removal means paint correction rather than a wash.
Winter traction gravel on Highway 97, the Connector, and the Coquihalla chips front-end paint every season. Chips expose bare metal, and bare metal in a road-salt environment is where rust starts.
